By the late 1950s and early 1960s, pioneering LE representatives Bill Durand (Seattle/Tacoma), John
Kowsky, Sr. (Bellingham/Everett), Alex LeFore (Walla Walla/Milton-Freewater) and Harold Wilhelm
(Spokane) established the base of what today has become "LE Northwest." From it's inception, LE
Northwest has been involved with some of the world's largest projects, including Hanford, the
construction of Interstate 5 through the Pacific Northwest, the "Chunnel" under the English
Channel, and the mighty hydro-electric dams.
